Susan Packard LeGros has concentrated her practice on environmental and regulatory issues for more than 25 years. She advises clients on matters involving land use, wetlands, storm water regulations, emissions trading regimes and corporate environmental policies. Susan is currently involved in issues involving renewable energy and climate change.

Susan’s career has included service as a Section Chief at the Environmental Protection Agency, as a partner and environmental department chair in a large Philadelphia law firm and in the legal departments of an international chemical company and a large battery manufacturer.

Susan has chaired the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Environmental Law Committee and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Real Property Probate and Trust Section’s Environmental Law Subcommittee. She also has served as a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Committee. Susan was appointed to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Finance Advisory Board, which evaluates the interplay of tax and financing policy and environmental programs.

Susan serves on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. She is a former Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association and a member of numerous other professional associations, including the Society of Women Environmental Professionals, Delaware Valley Environmental Inn of Court, the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators, Commercial Real Estate Women, the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy & Resources and its Special Committee on Smart Growth and Urban Policy, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She has been on the adjunct faculty of the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute of Environmental Studies and is a frequent author on environmental topics.

Susan received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. from the Ohio State University.
